here, we have tried to provide answers to frequently asked questions about your child’s participation at the International football camp.
WHAT IS THE TIMELINE AND PRICE OF A CHILD’S PARTICIPATION AT THE CAMP?
The camp takes place July 15-22, 2018 and the price is 350 EUR per a participant.
HOW DOES MY CHILD REACH THE DESTINATION, WHAT DOES S/HE EAT AND WHERE DOES S/HE SLEEP?
Each parent is obliged to bring their child to the camp destination and pick them up once the camp has finished.
If the organizer provides a bus transport from the Red Star stadium to Jahorina, the parent is not obliged to travel with the child but they must provide a written statement signed by both parents that they allow their child to travel accompanied by a travel leader nominated by Red Star FC Youth club. The statement must be verified at the MIA but please do contact us if you should need further information.
As you would expect, in case your child will take an organized bus transfer, you are expected to make sure your child gets to the departure location in time and pick them up on their return. All camp participants are housed at Bistrica hotel with full accommodation and 3 daily meals. The room arrangement will be set by the organizers in which they will carefully place children of same age and gender in the same room. The camp physician and the hotel restaurant chef will jointly arrange the seven-day menu and make sure that the nutrition meets the children’s intense physical activities. Hotel Bistrica is well-known for their cuisine so you do not have to worry.
WHICH CLOTHES SHOULD MY CHILD BRING FROM HOME?
Pack your child’s clothes as you would for any other seven-day vacation. Despite the fact that all camp participants will be provided with an equipment set, please do pack additional sports clothes (shorts, jerseys, shirts, socks, tracksuit) because they sweat a lot due to two daily summer trainings. All campers shall bring their own football boots. Furthermore, please pack your child with some warmer clothes, a light jacket or a warm sweatshirt, because July evenings might be cold at Jahorina.
MAY I, AS A PARENT, BE PRESENT AT THE CAMP?
Yes, each parent may be present during the camp duration, either at the same or other hotel, but parents may not alter the camp program which is carefully planned in advance.
WILL MY CHILD UNDERGO DIFFICULTIES DUE TO TRAINING INTENSITY?
No, the level and intensity of the trainings are fully adjusted to the children’s age and the program is designed by top professionals within the field – coaches from Red Star FC Youth club who have years of experience.
IS MY CHILD PROVIDED WITH HEALTHCARE?
Naturally the International football camp provides a medical supervision for each attendant 24 hours per day along with paid taxes and insurance. The camp program covers the mandatory physical examination at the start of the camp.
CAN I SPEAK TO MY CHILD ON THE TELEPHONE IN ANY MOMENT?
Your child may use the mobile phone at the camp, but the camp rules do not allow phone usage during the trainings, press conferences, ceremonies, and other parts of the program that might affect the efficient work, so the children will be warned about it. Still, there is an emergency line at which you may contact the camp organizer.
MAY I GET THE INFORMATION ON MY CHILD’S TALENTS AND POTENTIALS FROM THE RED STAR COACH?
Each participant gets a diploma, a report from Red Star FC committee and a detailed report on the motor skill test. These documents provide a clear info on a boy’s potential.
As agreed with UNIS//TOURS, which is the camp organizer, your presence at the camp may result in meeting the Red Star experts so you could personally get information on your child’s potentials, during which time we should respect the camp work program.
DOES THE CAMP PARTICIPATION AUTOMATICALLY MEAN MY CHILD WILL HAVE A PROBATION PERIOD AT RED STAR FC?
No, during the camp duration, coaches and scouts from Red Star will select 10 most talented boys who will have a probation period at Red Star for the potential final selection for Red Star Youth team.
ARE THERE ANY EXAMPLES OF SUCCESSFUL BOYS WHO TOOK PART IN THE CAMP EARLIER?
The camp participation is a success in its own because the boys get an opportunity to work, train and improve their skills with the best Red Star experts. Of course, many our earlier participants have already had great results and some of our boys have professionals careers at clubs such as Red Star, Partizan, Rad, OFK Beograd, Vojvodina Novi Sad, Dinamo Zagreb, Milan, Stuttgart, Keln, Bazel, etc.
